I have just been attacked and severely beaten. It was my fault, I should have been more careful, but I just didn’t expect something like that inside the University gates. I tried to fight back, but there were just too many of them: forty-four consonants, thirty-two vowels, and four tone marks. They are known as the Thai alphabet and they are the toughest gang in Chiang Mai.
