A Little Star

She’s a little star, but shines like the Sun
She speaks very softly, but carries a gun
A nine-millimeter in her little hands
Protecting her daughter, family and friends

She’s a little star burning in the dark
She has a bad heart, but swims like a shark
Smoking like a chimney, she flashes and sparks
Protesting against the war in Iraq

She’s a little star enlightening the night
Hurt so many times, she still spreads the Light
Lying in a clinic, she keeps up the fight
And I really hope she will be alright
